WHEREAS, the rules for administering said pay plan y

set out; and,
WHEREAS, some question has arisen as to whether
longevity .pay should be included in determining the pre-
vailing wage or salary received by a City employe as the
same is used and defined in connection with the various tr
d
pension plans affecting City employes, and it is desire
to indicate the intention and position of the City in
this regard; '

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the dity Commis-
sion of the City of,Clearwater, Florida, in session duly
and regularly assembled, as follows: +
1. That for the purpose of determining the pre-
vailing wage.or salary of any City employe as the same

is required or defined in the administering of any pension

plan or law affecting City employes, such prevailing wage
or salary shall be the base pay of such City employe and _p
shall not include any longevity pay to which such employe
shall then be entitled or receiving. "
2. That this Resolution is adopted for the purpose
of indicating the intention of the City of Clearwater at
this time and of confirming the fact that such was the in-
tention at the time of the effective date of the"Pay Plan,
City of Clearwater, July 195$019
