WHEREAS, a group of civic minded residents of
the City have encouraged the City to construct on the
property hereinafter described, a civic center accord-
ing to plans and specifications submitted by them, have
proposed that the same be known as the 111'14emorial Civic
Genter'f and have collected and offered to the City a sub-
stantial•sum of money to be used in providing furnishings
therefor, and,
WHEREAS, they have recommended that such Civic Cen-
ter be located on certain property of the City located
on Clearwater Beach, which is hereafter described; and,
WHEREAS, such project is deemed desirable and to
the best interest of the City, and it is desired to in-
dicate that such property will not be sold, leased or other-
wise committed by the City for any purpose other than the
above;
