WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas
County, Florida, has requested an expression from this Com-
mission concerning the desirability of an engineering stud
to determine whether or not Old Tampa Bay north of Courtney :'. ...
Campbell Causeway should be converted to a fresh water lake; and
WHEREAS, a special committee of the Clearwater Chamber of =' ''' :=4t `?+

Commerce has investigated this matter and has recommended that

subject to a favorable report from competent engineers as to
its feasibility, the same should be done; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Commission that proper
steps should be taken to obtain an engineering study so that (ky?y

the feasibility thereof can be determined; Y+1
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, in session duly and regularly ! .?
assembled, as follows:
1. That this Commission approves an engineering study 1
to determine the feasibility of converting to a fresh water lake
that part of Old Tampa Bay north of Courtney Campbell Causeway
and approves the study being financed jointly by Pinellas and r1
Hillsborough Counties,
