T? pi izli, M" .?Qj xv b it" N 0? 1Y R E S 0 U T 1 0 L N WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers, Department of the Army of the United v ,%It States, is conducting a hearing upon the application of island Estates, a partnership, on March 13, 1956, to inquire into the advisability of issuing to Island Estates a way permit to dredge and, fill certain areas in Clearwater Bay north of Memorial Cause according to a map and application therefor filed with the Corps of Engineers by the said Island Estates; and WHER AS, the City Commission has become aware of certain objections of Z hy z LIN. the public to the proposed dredging and filling, and has inquired into the basis for certain objections in public meetings of the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and has come to the conclusion that the City of Clearwater should officiaUy file the following objections; to wit NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, in session duly and regularly assembled as follows: 1. That the City of Clearwater feels that the easterly islands of the proposed development would materially alter the natural beauty of that portion of Clearwater Day, and would therefore be detrimental, from an aesthetic standpoint, to the natural 71:P 6, beauty of Clearwater Harbor and its view from Memorial Causeway, which is a primary ty 4, attraction to visitors and residents alike. ILO 2. That the City of Clearwater makes no recommendation concerning any portion Pe of the proposed fill in regard to its effects on navigation, feeling that the Corps of J,p, %i 10 Engineers, after their public hearing, will have available to them all of the facts to 'A T, nable them to arrive at a final decision an the matter.
