a Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Cottmiscion

Resolution pledged funds in the amount. of $20,000 to the Florida Amory Board
?'?•`f" for the purpose of securing the building of a National Guard Armory within the
City of Clearwater, Florida, and
MHEREAS, certain conditions of said Resolution mate it impossible for
the Florida An-nory Board to securo funds from the United States of America for
the building of the said National Guard Armory, and

WMAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of Clear-
water, Florida, and it is deemed to be to the best interest of the people of

NMI, THEREME, BE IT 1=01,VED by the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, in session duly and regularly assembled as follows:
1. That condition Number 2 of said Resolution be and the same is hereby

for use without charge by the City of Clearwater at the dis-

3. That the sense and meanie of the aforesaid Resolution is that the
svn ofe20 000 will be forfrnrdetl to the Treasurer of the State of Florida Immediately

upon request by Florida Amory Board, but that retention of the said sum by the
Treasurer of the State of Florida iu contingent upon the remission of a similar
amount by the County of Pinellas and agreement of appropriate representatives of
the United States of America to furnish the additional funds necessary for the comn-
pletion of the National Guard Armory; that the additional condition is hereby im-
posed that in the event the National Guard Armoxy as aforesaid is riot completed
within twelve months from the data hereof, the sum deposited with the Treasurer
of the State of Florida by the City of Clearwater shall be forthwith returned
to the City of Clearwater.
