5456-93 MILLAGE ORDINANCE ORDINANCE NO. 5456-93 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1993, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1994, FOR OPERATION PURPOSES INCLUDING PENSIONS AND DEIST SERVICE, AND ROAD MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the estimated revenues to be received by the City for the fiscal year beginning October I, 1993, and ending September 30, 1994, from ad valorem taxes is $20,397,850; and WHEREAS, based upon the taxable value provided by the Pinellas County Property Appraiser, 5.1158 mills are necessary to generate $20,397,850; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a tax of 5.1158 mills against the non-exempt real and personal property within the City is necessary to raise the sums to be appropriated for operation purposes, including pensions and debt service, road and drainage capital improvement projects, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1993. i .3 Y Sectinn 2. The levy of 5.1158 mills constitutes a .9526 % decrease from the rolled back rate. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect October 1, 1993.
