ORDINANCE NO. 5333-93
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO SECURITY ALARMS; AMENDING SECTION 94.08(2),
CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT TO RENEW
PERMITS ANNUALLY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section I. Section 94.0$(2), Code ofOrdinances, is amended to read:
Sec. 91.08. Alarm permits rewired; penalties.
(2) An alarm permit may be acquired from the Clearwater Police Department
upon application. The alarm permit will remain valid until the permit is revoked
or until the alarm user changes his or her address or disconnects the system
.
The alarm user shall be responsible for notifying the Clearwater Police
Department if an information contained on the initial application changes. A44-
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
