5264-92t ,I ORDINANCE NO. 5264.-92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING SECTION 136.004, CODE OF ORDINANCES, RELATING TO HEIGHT LIMITATIONS, TO ELIMINATE A HEIGHT BONUS PROVISION FOR PROPERTIES HAVING REQUIRED MINIMUM FLOOR ELEVATIONS, AND TO ALLOW PARAPET WALLS TO EXTEND ABOVE MAXIMUM HEIGHT LIMITATIONS; AMENDING SECTION 137.005, CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF "HEIGHT"; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. Subsections (a) and (e) of Section 136.004, Code of Ordinances, are amended to read: Sec. 136.004. Height. s d (a) Height bonus bonuses. 44? Subsection (a) of Section 131.005, Code of Ordinances, is amended to read: (a) Words and terms used in this development code shall be given the meanings identified hereinafter: Height: For buildings, the vertical distance from the mean elevation of the exi__sting building grade to the highest finished roof surface in the case of a building with a flat roof, or the vertical distance from the existinu grade to a point representing a-t the midpoint of the peak and eave heights of the main roof structure median of the roof of a building having a pitched roof. For other structures, the vertical distance from existing grade to the highest point of the structure above such existing grade.
