ORDINANCE NO. 5129-91
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ESTABLISHMENTS; AMENDING
SECTION 72.15, CODE OF ORDINANCES, RELATING TO CLOSING
HOURS, TO PROHIBIT ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ESTABLISHMENTS
FROM ALLOWING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO BE SERVED OR
CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS, AND TO
PROHIBIT ANY PERSON FROM CONSUMING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
ON THE PREMISES OF AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ESTABLISHMENT
BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of Section 72.15, Code of Ordinances, is amended
to read:
Sec. 72.15. Closing hours.
(a) There are hereby established the following hours of closing for all
alcoholic beverage establishments:
(1) Alcoholic beverage establishments shall not sell or allow to be
served or consumed on the premises, and no person shall consume on the premises
of any-such establishment, any alcoholic beverage be::-Neen the hours of 2:00 a.m.
and 8:00 a.m. on any day of the week except Sunday.
(2) Alcoholic beverage establishments shall not sell or allow to be
served or consumed or consumed on the-premises-,--and no person shall consume on
the-premises of any such establishment, any alcoholic beverage between the hours
of 2:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on any Sunday.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
