AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, REPEALING SECTIONS 25-36 THROUGH
25-54, INCLUSIVE, OF CHAPTER 25, VEHICLES FOR
HIRE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, 1962, AND REPEALING
SECTIONS 9-11 THROUGH SECTION 9-13, INCLUSIVE,
OF CHAPTER 9, FIRE PREVENTION, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
1962; PROVIDING FOR THE PROPER NOTICE OF THE
PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has undertaken a recodification
process relating to its 1962 Code of Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, in examining the Code of Ordinances it has been
ascertained that Sections 25-36 through 25-54, inclusive, and Sections 9-11
through 9-13, inclusive, of the 1962 Code of Ordinances are no longer
needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that it would be in the best
interest of the citizens of the City of Clearwater that such Code provisions
be repealed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Sections 25-36 through 25-54, inclusive of Chapter
25, Vehicles for Hire, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, 1962, and Sections 9-11 through 9-13, inclusive, of Chapter' 9•,i• Fire
Prevention, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
1962, are hereby repealed in their entirety.
Section 2. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166.041, Florida Statutes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
