AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION b, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE lb EASTt LOT 2, LESS THE EAST 200 FEET THEREOF,
BLACK BURN. SUBDIVISION; AND LOT 25, TERRA ALTO
ESTATES, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH
ALL ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITIONS ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS
OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR
PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from The First National Bank of Clearwater
requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described here-
inafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 17, 1977,
voted unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials
to set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Marjorie M. Newell and Edward L. Mendenhall
requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter,
owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Joseph W. Phillips and Sara R. Phillips,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and

WHEREAS, on January 19, 1976, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following described parcels of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classifications therefor:
The North 500 feet of the East 400 feet of the West II2
of the SE 1 /4 of Section 6, Township 29 South, Range 16
East, Pinellas County, Florida, less and except the right-
of-way of State Road 588 (Sunset Point Road).
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
AND
Lot 2, less the East 200 feet thereof, in Blackburn Subdivision,
according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book
24, page 26 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all abutting streets.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.

WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
requests for annexation, at a regular meeting held on December 15, 1977, voted
unanimously to accept said requests and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 1978' the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following described parcels of real property in Pinellas
County, Florida, and establishes fire district classifications therefor:
The North 540 feet of the East 400 feet of the West 1/2
of the SE 1/4 of Section 6, Township 29 South, Range 16
East, Pinellas County, Florida, less and except the right-
of-way of State Road 588 (Sunset Point Road),
