AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA; EASTERLY
165 FEET OF LOT 9, CLEARWATER INDUSTRIAL PARK;
LOT 1, BLOCK D, SALLS SUBDIVISION; AND TWO PORTIONS
OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 28 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST,
PINE LLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ABUTTING
STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITIONS ACCORDING
TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA;
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION
FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF
PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from O. Hayden Sellers and Ellen L. Sellers, his
wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on June 16, 1977, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a-public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Arthur J. Wedekind and Julia Wedekind,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of ^3id
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on May 19, 1977, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to

WHEREAS, on August 4, 1977, the City Commisnion of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for the
above real property; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Stephen S. Selby and Zelma L. Selby, his
wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on June 16, 1977, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from W. D. Renando, Planning Director, of,the
City of Clearwater, Florida, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel
of real estate described hereinafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits
of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Florida Power Corporation requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter,
owned by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
requests for annexation, at a regular meeting held on July 7, 1977, voted

unanimously to accept said requests and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1977, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City Commission,
by the authority, and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044, Florida Statutes,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and
redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and establishes
fire district classifications therefor;
That part of 'the SE 1 /4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 9.
Township 29 South, Range 16 East, described as:
Begin at the SW corner of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
Section 9, Township 29 South, Range 16 East, and run
thence N 0 *06116 11 E, along the 40 acre line, 874.24 feet;
thence S 89 °2204511 E, 736. 99 feet for P. O. B. ; thence
continue S 89°2204511 E, 171. 5 feet to the Westerly right-
of-way line of Rose Road as shown on a plat of Del Oro
Heights, as recorded in Plat Book 54, Page 12 of the
Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida; thence
N 003711511 E, along the Westerly line of said Rose Road
127. 0 feet to. the SE corner of Lot 26 of said Del Oro
Heights; thence N 89°22'4511 W, along the Southerly line
of said Lot 26 and its westerly extension 171.5 feet; thence
S 0°3711511 W, 127.0 feet to P. 0. B.; LESS AND EXCEPT
the North 35 feet thereof.

Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, aaccepts the dedication of all easements, etreetn Parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3, The City Engineer, the City Clark and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classifications therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in r.

Section S. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage-and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Chapter 171. 091 and Chapter
171. 044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
of State of the State, of Florida.

ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 9, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA,, EASTERLY
165 FEET OF LOT 9, CLEARWATER INDUSTRIAL PARK;
LOT 1, BLOCK D, SALLS SUBDIVISION; AND TWO PORTIONS
OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 28 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST,
PINELLAS COUNTY. FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ABUTTING

wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits cf the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the.City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on June 16, 1977, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classification and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from W. D. Renando, Planning Director, of the
City of Clearwater, Florida, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel
of real estate described hereinafter, owned by it, into the corporate limits
of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and

also received a sworn petition from Florida Power Corporation requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter,

WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City Commission,
by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044, Florida Statutes,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and
redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and establishes
fire district classifications therefor:
That part of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 9,
Township 29 South, Range 16 East, described as;
Begin at the SW corner of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
Section 9, Township 29 South, Range 16 East, and run
