ORDINANCE NO. 1677
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 1976, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1977, FOR
OPERATION PURPOSES, TO REFLECT A REVENUE INCREASE
OF $4,677 FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND AN EXPENDITURE
INCREASE OF $4,677 FOR GENERAL FUND EXPENSES; TO
REFLECT A REVENUE INCREASE OF $2,894 FOR THE CON-
SOLIDATED COMMUNICATION CENTER FUND AND AN EXPEN-
DITURE INCREASE OF $2,894 FOR CONSOLIDATED COMMUNI-
CATION FUND EXPENSES; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY
OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES'IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976,
and ending September 30, 1977, for operation purposes, including debt
service, was adopted in accordance with the Charter of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, and Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, the Municipal Home Rule Powers
Act, by Ordinance No. 1626; and
WHEREAS, at midyear budget review, it was found the unanticipated
expenditure increases of $4,677 in the General Fund, and $2, 894 in the
Consolidated Communication Fund, a summary of which is attached hereto
and marked Exhibit A, necessitated increasing the appropriations authorized
by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, an unanticipated increase of $4,677 in General Fund
revenues and $2, 894 in Consolidated Communication Center Fund revenues
sufficiently cover these extraordinary expenses; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-78 of Ordinance No. 1665 authorizes the City
Commission to provide for the expenditure of moneys for proper purposes
not contained in the budget as originally adopted due to unforeseen circurn-
stances or emergencies arising during the fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. That the City Manager's Annual Report and Budget for
the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1977,
be amended to reflect a revenue increase of $4, 677 and an expenditure increase
of $4, 677 in the General Fund; and a revenue increase of $2, 894 and an
expenditure increase of $2, 894 in the Consolidated Communication Fund.
Section 2. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause
or other part or provision of this ordinance be declared by any Court to be
invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole,
or any part thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of their conflict.
Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
