ORDINANCE NO. 1658
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP Z9 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST, AND LOT 1, SUBAN'S SUBDIVISION, PINELLAS
COUNTY, FLORIDA, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE
BOUNDARY LINES OF, THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITIONS
ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA;
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON,
ESTABLISHING THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS FOR
SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PRO-
POSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from William Otis Gillenwaters, Trustee, requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by him, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 4, 1976, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Clifford L. Heishman and Ethel E. Heishman,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and

unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to

of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 1977, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, hold a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Chapter 171. 044,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to
include the following described parcels of real property in Pinellas County,
Florida, and establishes fire district classifications therefor:
Begin 100 feet West and 834. 8 feet South of Northeast
corner of Section 19, Township Z9 South, Range 16 East;
continue South 505 feet, West 250 feet, North 80 feet, West
80 feet, North 425 feet, and East 330 feet to P. O. B.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
AND
Lot 1, Suban's Subdivision, according to the map or plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 40, page 32 of the Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 2.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to

law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3, The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classifications therefor.

Section 4. This ordinance and notice of the proposed enactment of
same has been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in
accordance with Chapter 166.041, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 171.044,
Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and
a copy thereof being filed in the Office of the Cleric of the Circuit Court of
Pinellas County, Florida. In accordance with Chapter 171. 091 and Chapter
171. 044, Florida Statutes, a certified copy shall be filed with the Department
of State of the State of Florida.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from William Otis Gillenwaters, Trustee, requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by him, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 4, 1976, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishing of
fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcel
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 171, Florida Statutes; and
,'- WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

determination and establishment of fire district classifications for said

Begin 100 feet West and 834. S feet South of Northeast 1
corner of Section 19, Township 29 South, Range 16 East; s
continue South 505 feet, West 250 feet, North 80 feet, West
80 feet, North 425 feet, and East 330 feet to P. O. B.,
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. 1.
AND
Lot 1, Suban's Subdivision, according to the map or plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 40, page 32 of the Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
The above described property is hereby designated Fire
District No. Z.
Section Z. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official maps
and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the fire
district classifications therefor.
