WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
y has submitted an estimate of the amount of money necessary to carry on the

' said period from ad valorem taxes and other sources has been submitted to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1, That the City Manager's Annual. Report and Budget for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1977, a
copy of which is on file with the City Clerk and is by reference made a part
hereof, a surnmary of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, is
hereby adopted as the Budget for the City of Clearwater,

Section Z. That it is hereby determined that a tax of 5.456 mills against
the real and personal property within the City, not exempt from taxation by law'";ry

Section 3. That the City Commission shall meet in the City Hall of the

a public hearing upon said proposed budget and tax levy as herein set forth, at

Charter of the City of Clearwater.
Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to issue
such instructions and directives that are necessary to achieve and accomplish
the service programs authorized by the adoption of this budget.
Section 5. That the City Manager is authorized as he deems appropriate
to transfer moneys and programs among the departments and activities within
any fund, as provided for in the City Charter.
Section 6. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause
or other art or provision of this ordinance be declared b an court to be
Invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or
any part thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
Section 7. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of their conflict.
Section 8. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166.041, Florida Statutes.
