ORDINANCE NO. 1619
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 1975, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1976, FOR
OPERATION PURPOSES, TO REFLECT A REVENUE INCREASE
OF $118,581 FOR THE BRIDGE FUND AND AN EXPENDITURE
INCREASE OF$33, 403 FOR BRIDGE FUND EXPENSES; TO
REFLECT A REVENUE INCREASE OF $1,017 FOR THE
PARKING FUND AND AN EXPENDITURE INCREASE OF $492
FOR PARKING FUND EXPENSES; TO REFLECT A REVENUE
INCREASE OF $12,988 FOR THE GOLF COURSE FUND AND
AN EXPENDITURE INCREASE OF $12,988 FOR GOLF COURSE
FUND EXPENSES; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY OF
THE PROVISIONS HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1975,
and ending September 30, 1976, for operation purposes, including pensions
and debt service, was adopted in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and Chapter 166, Florida Statutes, the Municipal Home
Rule Powers Act, by Ordinance No. 1584; and
WHEREAS, at midyear budget review, it was found that unanticipated
expenditure increases of$33, 403 in the Bridge Fund, $492 in the Parking Fund,
and $12, 988 in the Golf Course Fund, a summary of which is attached hereto
and marked Exhibit A, necessitated increasing the appropriations authorized
by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, an unanticipated increase of $118, 581 in Bridge Fund
revenues, $1, 017 in Parking Fund revenues, and $12,998 in Golf Course
Fund revenues sufficiently cover these extraordinary expenses; and
WHEREAS, Section 95 of the Charter of the City of Clearwater authorizes
the City Commission to provide for the expenditure of moneys for proper
purposes not contained in the budget as originally adopted due to unforeseen
circumstances or emergencies arising during the fiscal year;
NOW, 'T'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;

Section 1. That the City Manager's Annual Report and Budget for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 1975, and ending September 30, 1976, be
amended to reflect a revenue increase of $118, 581 and an expenditure increase
of 33, 403 for the Bridge Fund, a revenue increase'of $1, 017 and an expenditure
increase of $492 for the Parking Fund, and a revenue increase of $12,988 and
an expenditure increase of $12, 988 for the Golf Course Fund.
Section Z. Should any' section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause
or other part or provision of this ordinance be declared by any court to be
invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or
any part thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of their conflict.
Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
