WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974,
. , c

and ending September 30, 1975, for operation puxposes, including pensions
and debt service, was adopted in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and Chapter lbb, Florida Statutes, the Municipal Home
Rule Powers Act, by Ordinance No. 1535; and
WHEREAS, at midyear budget review, it was found that unanticipated
expenditure increases of $228, 8b2 in the Utility Fund and $31, 076 in the Marina
Fund, a summary of which ie attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, necessitated
increasing the appropriations authorized by the City Commission; and '
WHEREAS, an unanticipated increase of $437, 038 in Utility Fund
revenues and an unanticipated incxease of $31, 07b in Marina Fund xevenues
sufficiently cover these extraordinary expenditures; and
WHEREAS, Section 85 of the Charter of the City of Clearwater authorizes
the City Commission to provide for the expenditure of moneys fox proper
purposes not contained in the budget as originally adopted due to unforeseen
circumstances or emergencies arising during the fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED SY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1. That the City Managerts Annual Report and Budget for
the fiscal year beginning October I, 1974, and ending September 30, 1975,

as previously adopted by Ordinance No, 1535 and amended by Ordinance
No. 1563, be amended to reflect a revenue increase of $437, 038 and an
expenditure increase of $Z28, 862 for the Utility Fund and a revenue increase
of $31, 076 and an expenditure increase of $31, 076 for the Marina Fund.
Section 2. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause
or other part or provision of this ordinance be declared by any court to be
invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or
any part thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of their conflict.
Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166. 041, Florida Statutes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
