BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section 1, Section 7-2, Southern Standard Building Code;--Amendments,
of Article I, In General, of Chapter 7, Buildings, of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is. hereby amended to amend subsection
(7) of Section 103. 4, Unsafe Buildings, of the Southern Standard Building Code,
1969 Edition, and the 1970, 1971 and 1972 Revisions to said Edition, as amended,
to read as follows:
(7)If the occupant or the owner of a building fails to
comply with the written notice of the building official
to repair, alter or improve, or to vacate or close a
building, or to remove or demolish the dwelling or
building in accordance with the terms thereof, or fails to
comply with the decision of the building board of adjust-
ment and appeals if the decision of the building official
is appealed to said board, then written notice of said
failure shall be furnished by the building official to the
City Manager. Thereafter the City Manager shall scliedule
a public licaring thereon before the City Commission and
shall cause notice of s-aid'public hearing to be liven by
publication in some newspaper published in the City,
once a week for at least two (2) weeks, the first publica-
tion to be at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing
provided therein, and shall also mail a notice of the
scheduled public hearing by certified mail, return receipt
requested, to the occupant at the street addre.ss of the
property and to the owner of the property addrei:Fed as
indicated on the current tax roll of Plnell;m County,

Section 3. Any pennon, organization, society, nasociation or
corporation, or any agent or representative thereof who shall violate any
provisions of this Ordinance or fail to comply therewith, or who shall
violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder shall, upon
conviction in the Municipal Court, be fined not exceeding the sum of Five
Hundred Dollars ($500, 00), or imprisoned in the City Jail for not exceeding
sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in-the discretion
of the Municipal Judge.
Section 4. Should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of
this ordinance be declared for any reason to be' invalid, the same shall not

Section 1. Section 7-2, Southern Standard Building Code..-Amendments,
of Article I, In General, of Chapter 7, Buildings, of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to amend subsection
(7) of Section 103. 4, Unsafe Buildings, of the Southern Standard Building Code,
1969 Edition, and the 1970, 1971 and 1972 Revisions to said Edition, as amended,

to the extent of such conflict are hereby repealed.
