AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, REPEALING CITY OF CLEARWATER
ORDINANCE NO. 1504, RELATING TO THE PURCHASE
OF GASOLINE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES; EXEMPTING
THE AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FROM
THE,PROVI5IONS OF PINELLAS COUNTY ORDINANCE
NO. 74-3, RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE
FOR MOTOR VEHICLES; DECLARING THAT A PUBLIC
EMERGENCY EXISTS AFFECTING THE HEALTH, SAFETY
AND WELFARE OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 1504, relating to the purchase of gasoline
for motor vehicles, passed by the City Commission of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, on March 4, 1974, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section Z, The area included within the corporate limits of the City
of Clearwater is deleted from the provisions of Pinellas County Ordinance
No. 74-3, adopted February 13, 1974, entitled;
"AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF
GASOLINE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES; MAKING A FINDING
OF AN EMERGENCY; PROHIBITING THE RETAIL SALE
OF GASOLINE EXCEPT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR INSPECTIONS; PROVIDING
EXEMPTIONS; URGING PUBLIC AND DEALER COOPERATION
WITH REGARD TO HOURS OF PURCHASE; PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE
SEVERABILITY HEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE TERRI-
TORY TO BE EMBRACED; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE;;
and said ordinance shall have no effect within the City of Clearwater.
Section 3. It is hereby found, determined and declared that this
ordinance is necessary and urgently needed for the preservation of the health,
safety and welfare of the citizens and inhabitants of the City of Clearwater
and that an emergency is hereby declared.
