ORDINANCE NO. 1479
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 7, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST; THE NORTH 1 /2 OF LOTS 7 AND 8 IN THE
SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 15 EAST, OF PINELLAS GROVES SUBDIVISION;
AND A PORTION OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TOGETHER WITH ALL ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LANES OF
THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID ADDITIONS, ACCORDING TO
THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA,
AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFI-
CATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR PROPER
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Coachman Properties, Inc. requesting the
City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by it, into the corporate limits of.the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on April 16, 1973, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to
annex said parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the
Municipal Charter of the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 1973 the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Booth, Higgins and Johnson, a partnership, '
requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter;. owned by' them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,

WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on July 16, 1973, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
setiup a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to
annex said parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the
Municipal Charter of the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on August 27, 1973 the City Commission of the City'of
Clearwater,. after proper public notice, held a public bearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property;

Section 1. After its evaluation of all ovidence presented at a proper

public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6. (d) of
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and
establishes zoning and fire district classifications therefor:
A tract of land lying in the N. E. 1/4 of Section 7, Township 29
South, Range 16 East, and being more particularly described
as follows:

Commence at the East 1/4 corner of said Section 7, and
run N 0° 5413811 E, along the east line of said Section a
distance of 363.06 feet to a point; thence run N 810 0710211 W,
along the centerline of the S. A. L. R. R. right-of-way, a
distance of 121. 17 feet to the westerly right•-of-way of U.S.
Highway 19; thence N 0° 5413811 E along said right-of-way, a
distance of 50.49 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence run
N 81. 0710211 W, along the northerly right-of-way line of the
S.A. L.A.R., a distance of 995. 97 feet to the easterly
right-of-way line of Florida Power; thence run N 00 4814911 E,
along the said right-of-way a distance of 1357.73 feet to the
southerly right-of -way line of N. E. ' Coachman Road (S. R.

law, accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official
zoning atlas and other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater
the foregoing property and the zoning and fire district classifications therefor.

Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this Ordinance has
been properly advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance
with Chapter 166.041, Florida Statutes. "
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become affective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a
certified copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Pinellas County, Florida.

received a sworn petition from Coachman Properties, Inc. requesting the
City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter, owned
by it, into the corporate litnits of the City of C1earv,atcr, Florida; and
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on April 16, 1973, voted
unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to
set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to
annex said parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater in accordance with the provision, of Section 6 (d) of the
Municipal Charter of the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 1973 the City Cornmission of the City of.
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing; for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
