AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXI.NG A PORTION OF SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP Z9 SOUTH,
: RANGE 16 EAST; LOT 6, BLOCK C, PALMETTO TERRACE
SUBDIVISIONO AND LOT 3, PLEASANT RIDGE ESTATES SUB-
DIVISION, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH
ALL ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITIONS, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS
OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE
DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF TI415 ORDINANCE,
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Lloyd W. Mullis and Virginia C. Mullis, his wife,
requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described hereinafter,
owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Terry C. Sanders and Ruby C. Sanders,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate described
hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Roderick R. Karcher and Elizabeth A.
Karcher, his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate
described hereinafter, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City
of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
,requests for annexation, at a regular meeting held on December 18, 1972,
voted unanimously to accept said requests and authorized the proper officials
to set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex
said parcels of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater

in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the Municipal Charter of
the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 1973, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the determination
and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications for said real ... i i`
property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FLORIDA:

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at proper

public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City

the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida,
hereby annexee into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and establishes
zoning and fire district classificatione therefor;
The East 65 feet of the West 191 feet of the East 306 feet
of the North 142 feet of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4
of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 16, Town-
ship 29 South, Range 16 East, Pinellas County, Florida, together
with all abutting streets.
The above described property is hereby zoned "RS..50" (Single
Family Residential District) and designated Fire District No. Z. AND
c. s r ? ft• tLot 6, Block C of Palmetto Terrace, according to the map or
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 39, page 75 of the Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida, together with all abutting '
streets.
The above described property is hereby zoned "RS-50" (Single !
Family Residential District) and designated Fire District No. 2.

Lot 3, Pleasant Ridge Estates, according to the neap or
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 53, page 71 of the

Section Z. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law accepts the dedication of all casements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official
zoning atlas and other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater
the foregoing property and the zoning and fire district classifications therefor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a
certified copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Pinellas County, Florida.

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence resented at proper public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida,
hereby annexed into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and establishes
zoning and fire district classifications therefor:
The East 65 feet of the West 191 feet of the East 306 feet
of the North 142 feet of the South 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4
of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 16, Town-
ship 29 South, Range 16 East, Pinellas County, Florida, together
with all abutting streets.
The above described property is hereby zoned "RS-5011 (Single
Family Residential District) and designated Fire District No. Z.
AND
Lot 6, Block C of Palmetto Terrace, according to the map or
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 39, page 75 of the Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida, together with all abutting
streets.
The above described property is hereby zoned "RS•.50" (Single
F, mily Residential District) and designated Fire District No. Z.

Section.?. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
rights-of-way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director arc directed to include and set out and show upon the official
zoning atlas and other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater
the foregoing property and the zoning and fire district classifications therefor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
-its-passage and enrollment in-the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a
certified copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Pinellas County, Florida.
