ORDINANCE NO. 1423
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ANNEXING LOT 17, PINELLAS TERRACE FIRST ADDITION;
LOT 12, BLOCK B, VIRGINIA GROVES TERRACE FIFTH
ADDITION; LOT 27, BLOCK E, EASTWOOD TERRACE
THIRD ADDITION; LOTS 5, 6 AND 7, CLEARWATER MANOR
SUBDIVISION; AND LOTS 3, 4 AND 5, AND ADJOINING
VACATED STREET, CLEARWATER INDUSTRIAL PARK,
PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ALL
ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITIONS, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND
THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE
AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE
ZONING USE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS AND THE FIRE
DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. '

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Nationwide Land Corporation requesting the
City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned by
it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Hoyt Development Co., Inc. requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned
by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, -Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Lloyd M. Phillips requesting the City
to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned by him,
into the corporate limits of the City of Clear water, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Tiffany & Associates, Inc. requesting the
City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned by

also received a sworn petition from Marratt R. Stiexhaim, City Manager ; r
of the City of Clearwater, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned by it, into the corporate limits of
the City of Clearwater, Florida-, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said :t.
requests for annexation, at a regular meeting held on August 21, 1972, voted
unanimous to accept said requests and authorized the proper officials unanimously to

WHEREAS, on October 2, 1972, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the determination x ;.1

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY r
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at proper
public hearings, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of }
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida, r
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and
establishes zoning and fire district classifications therefor:,

Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according to
law accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas, places,
right of way and other dedications to the public which have heretofore been
made by plat, deed or user within the areas so annexed.

Section 3. The City Engineer, the City"dlerk and the Planning Director

are directed to include and set out and show upon the official zoning map and
other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater the foregoing
property and the zoning and fire district classifications therefor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a certified
copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Pinellas County, Florida.

WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
requests for annexation, at a.regular meeting held on August 21, 1972, voted

unanimously to accept said requests and authorircd the proper officials to
set up a public hearing ther. con for the dcternnination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex
said parcels of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater
in accordance with the provisions of Section G (d) of the Municipal Charter of
the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on October 2, 1972, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, hcld a public hearing for the determination
and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications for said real
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ,ORDAINED DY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARIYATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at proper
public hearings, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and
establishes zoning and fire district classifications therefor:
