' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER TO ANNEX SHADOWLAWN
SUBDIVISION AND BLOCKS F AND G, FLORIDENA
SUBDIVISION, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-
GETHER WITH ALL ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND ESTABLISH THE ZONING USE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFI-
CATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY, BY REFERENDUM
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE AREA AS DESCRIBED
ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE DATE OF SUCH ELECTION
AND FOR NOTIFICATION THEREOF AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through its
City Commission, hereby declares its intention to annex into the corporate
limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, the following described areas
lying contiguous to the territorial limits of said City, and after proper
public notice and public hearing thereon on October 16, 1972, to establish
the zoning use district classifications and the fire district classifications
for said property, such annexations to be by referendum vote of freeholders
and electors in the area in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of
the City of Clearwater, Florida:
Shadowlawn Subdivision, according to the map or plat thereof
as recorded in Plat Book 7, page 41, of the Public Records of
Pinellas County, Florida, together with all other streets,
rights-of-way, all public easements contained therein or
contiguous or abutting thereto.
The above-described property is hereby zoned "RS-50"
(Single Family Residential District)
and designated Fire District No. 2.
AND
Blocks F and G, Floridena Subdivision, as recorded in Plat
Book 9, page 34, Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all other streets, rigbts-of-way, all public
easements contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto.
The above-described property is hereby zoned "RS-50"
(Single Family Residential District)
and designated Fire District No. 2.

Section 2. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through its
City Commission, intends to annex the foregoing land according to the pro-
visions of the Charter of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and to that end the
City has scheduled in the area a Referendum Election of freeholders and
electors upon such annexation in accordance with the said Charter, said
Referendum Election to be held on Tuesday, December 12, 1972, as a
special election in the area above-described, all in accordance with said
Charter of the City of Clearwater, Florida. Notices of said election shall
be given by publication in the manner and at times required by the ordinances
and Charter of the City of Clearwater and in accordance with State election
laws pertaining thereto.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
