Section 1. Section 7-87, Plumbing Code--Adopted, of Article VI,
Plumbing, of Chapter 7, Buildings, of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 7-87. Plumbing Cade--Adopted.
There is hereby adopted by the City of Clearwater, Florida, t.
that certain code known as the Southern Standard Plumbing Code, y
1971 Edition, together with Appendix A and B of said 1971 Edition,

and also amendments thereto as set out in the 1972 Revision to '+
the 1971 Edition, together with Appendix B and C of said 1972
Revision, as adopted by the Southern Building Code Congress, r
and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are
hereinafter deleted, modified or amended by Section 7-88, of
which code three (3) copies thereof are now and have been for .°
the last preceding ten (10) days on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Clearwater, and the same are hereby ,
adopted and incorporated by reference as fully as if set out' at 1 e s =1;;

Statutes, and from the effective date of this ordinance shall s ?•

take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within
the limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida.

Section Z. Any person, organization, society, association or
corporation, or any agent or representative thereof who shall violate
any provisions of this Ordinance or the Code hereby adopted or fail to
comply therewith, or who shall violate or fail to comply with any order
made thereunder, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement
of•specifica.tions or plans submitted and approved thereunder, shall, upon
conviction in the Municipal Court, be fined not exceeding the sum of Five
Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or imprisoned in the City Jail for not exceeding

inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance or of the Code hereby
adopted are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance or the Code, as amended, hereby adopted be declared for any
reason to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
or Code, as amended, as a whole, or any part thereof other than the part
declared to be invalid.
Section S. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
