ORDINANCE NO. 1352
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 12-2, LIBRARY
BOARD--CREATED, COMPOSITION,. QUALIFICATIONS,
OF CHAPTER 12, PERTAINING TO LIBRARY, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, 1962, TO ENLARGE SAID LIBRARY BOARD
TO CONSIST OF ELEVEN MEMBERS; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR THE
SEPARABILITY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 12-2, Library Board--Created, composition,
qualifications, etc. of Chapter 12, Library, of Code of Ordinances of the
City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 12-2. Library Board--Created, composition,
qualifications, etc.

A library board is created and established. The library
board shall consist of eleven (11) members, at least seven
(7y of whom shall be permanent residents of the City, and
all of whom shall serve without compensation.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
Sectionl4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
