AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 19,
TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST, LOT 4, BLOCK
1, BAY VIEW CITY SUBDIVISION, PART OF LOT 8,
MOSELL ACRES, A PORTION OF SECTION 9, TOWN-
SHIP Z9 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST, AND A PORTION OF
SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST,
PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ALL
ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND RE-
DEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO
INCLUDE SAID ADDITIONS, ACCORDING TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CLEAR WATER,
FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER
PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON,
ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS
FOR SAID PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

received a sworn petition from Southern State Lands Company requesting the
City to annex certain parcels of real estate hereinafter described, owned by it,
into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
after due consideration of said request for annexation, at a regular meeting
held on April 5, 1971, voted unanimously to accept said request and authorized
the proper officials to set up a public hearing thereon for the determination
and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an
ordinance to annex said parcels of real estate into the corporate limits of the
City of Clearwater in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the
Municipal Charter of the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on May 3, 1971, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
% received a sworn petition from Martin Bray and Helen L. Bray, his wife,
requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter
'described, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Congregation Beth Shalom requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned
by it, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Merrett R. Stierheim, City Manager of
the City of Clearwater, Florida, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel
of real estate hereinafter described, owned by it, into the corporate limits of
the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
also received a sworn petition from Maxwell B. Sackbeim, et al requesting
the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, owned
by them, into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission after due consideration of said
requests for annexation, at a regular meeting held on April 19, 1971, voted
unanimously to accept said requests and authorized the proper officials to set
up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of zoning;
and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels
of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Section 6 (d)' of the Municipal Charter of the City of
Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 1971, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and f:re district classifications
for said real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a
proper public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its
City Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6
(d) of the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of'
Florida, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the
following described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida,
and to establish zoning and fire district classifications therefor:
Begin at the NW corner of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of
Section 19, Township 29 South, Range 16 East and run
S 89' 0910411 E along the 40 acre line 1, 213. 24 feet to the
NE corner of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 19;
thence S 00° 2415111 W along the 40 acre line, 33. 00 feet
to the P. O. B. of this description; thence continue
S 00° 2415111 W along the 40 acre line, 966. 51 feet to a
point; thence N 88 ° 5314211 W, along the South line of the
N 3/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 19,
1, 172. 62 feet to a point 33. 00 feet East of and parallel to
the West line of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 19;
thence N 000 0114111 W. along a line 33. 00 feet East of and
parallel to the West line of said SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of said
Section 19, 200.00 feet; thence S 88° 5314211 E, 450. 04 feet;
