AN ORDINANCE OF THE' CITY OF CLEARWATER*
FLORIDA, ANNEXING A PORTION OF SECTION 12,
TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 15 EAST, PINELLAS
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ALL ABUTTING
STREETS, INTO THE CORPCRATE LIMITS OF' THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE '
SAID ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF
THE CHARTER OF THECITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER
PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON,
ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS
FOR SAID PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Clarence A. Hickey and Gertrude A. Hickey,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate herein-
after described, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November 2, 1970,
voted unanimously to accept said request and authorized th{e proper officials
to set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex
said parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater
in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the Municipal Charter
of the City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1970, the City Commission of "the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property, which said hearing was continued until January 18,
1971, and thereupon completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: '

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a
Proper public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its
City Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida, ,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as,to include the following
described parcel of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and to
establish zoning and fire district classifications therefor;

Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according
to law accepts the dedication of all easements, streets, parks, plazas,
places, rights of way and other dedications to the public which have here-
tofore been made by plat, deed or user within the area so annexed.
• Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official
zoning map and other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater

Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its

passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a certified
copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of

THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE
SAID ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER PROPER
PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON,
ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS
FOR SAID PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS,, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Clarence A. Hickey and Gertrude A. Hickey,
his wife, requesting the City to annex a certain parcel of real estate herein
after described, owned by them, into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida; and
of the City of Clearwater and the -Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1970, the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
request for annexation, at a regular meeting held on November z, 1970,
voted unanimously to accept said request and authorized the proper officials
to set up a public hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of
zoning and fire district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex
said parcel of real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater
in accordance with the provisions of Section b (d). of the Municipal Charter
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property, which said hearing was continued until January 18,
1971, and thereupon completed;
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due consideration of said
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 2. The City Commission hereby formally and according

tofore been made by plat, deed or user within the area so annexed.
Section 3. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning
Director are directed to include and set out and show upon the official
zoning map and other official maps and records of the City of Clearwater
the foregoing property and the zoning and fire district classifications therefor.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and enrollment in the City of Clearwater Ordinance Book and a certified i
copy thereof being recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court ofa
Pinellas County, Florida.
