AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER TO ANNEX THE PROPERTY
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED INTO THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
BY REFERENDUM ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SUCH
AREA AS DESCRIBED ACCORDING TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF CHAPTER 69-956, LAWS OR SPECIAL
ACTS OF FLORIDA OF 1969 (HOUSE BILL NO. 2486),
AND PROVIDING FOR THE DATE OF SUCH ELECTION
AND FOR NOTIFICATION THEREOF AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

Section 1. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through its
City Commission hereby declares its intention to annex into the corporate
limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, the following described area lying
contiguous to the territorial limits of said City, such annexation to be by
referendum vote of freeholders in such area in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 69-956, Laws or Special Acts of Florida of 1969 (House Bill
No. 2486):
Sunset Gardens Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 41,
page 6 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
less and except abutting right of way for Belcher Road and
less and except Lot 8 and abutting street of said Subdivision,
together with all other streets, rights of way, all public
easements contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through its
City Commission intends to annex the foregoing land according to the provisions
of Chapter 69-956, Laws or Special Acts of Florida of 1969 (House Bill No.
2486), and to that end the City has scheduled a Referendum Election of freeholders
upon such annexation in accordance with the said Act, said Referendum Election
to be held on Tuesday, November 25, 1969, as a special election in such area
above described, all in accordance with said Chapter 69-956, Laws or Special

Acts of Florida of 1969 (House Sill 2466). Notice of said election shall be
given by publication in the manner and at times required by the ordinances and
charter of the City of Clearwater and in accordance with State election laws
pertaining thereto.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
