BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The Title of Ordinance No, 1111, adopting the Southern
Standard Housing Code, 1965 Edition, subject to certain exceptions, and
establishing the procedures for the administration and enforcement of the
provisions for said minimum housing code, passed and adopted by the
City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, on July 3, 1967, is
hereby amended to read as follows:

is appealed to said Board, then written notice of said
failure shall be furnished by the Building Official to the
City Commission. Thereafter the City Commission shall
give notice of a scheduled public hearing by publication
in some newspaper published in the City, once a week for
at least two (Z) weeks, the first publication to be at least
ten (10) days prior to the hearing provided therein, and
shall also mail a notice of the scheduled public hearing by
certified mail, return receipt requested, to the occupant
at the street address of the property and to the owner of
the property addressed as indicated on the current tax
roll of Pinellas County, Florida. Said notice shall require
all persons interested to show cause why the occupant
or the owner or both should not comply with the order of the
Building Official or the decision of the Housing Board of
Adjustments and Appeals,
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed,
Section 4. Any person, organization, society, association or
corporation, or any agent or representative thereof who shall violate any
provisions of this Ordinance or fail to comply therewith, or who shall
violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder shall, upon
conviction in the Municipal Court, be fined not exceeding the sum of Five
Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or imprisoned in the City Jail for not exceeding
sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion
of the Municipal Judge.
Section 5. Should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of
this ordinance be declared for any reason to be invalid, the same shall not
affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than
the part declared to be invalid.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage. ,
