ORDINANCE: NO. 1159
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING PORTIONS OF SECTION 17,
TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST, PINELLAS
a COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH ALL ABUTTING
` STREETS, INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITIONS, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND THE LAWS OF FLORIDA; AFTER
PROPER PUBLIC NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON, ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION AND THE FIRE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION FOR SAID PROPERTIES; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
received a sworn petition from Ann P. Babcock requesting the City to
annex certain parcels of real estate hereinafter described, owned by her,
into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of said request for annexation
the City Commission at a meeting held on June 13, 1968, voted unanimously
to accept said request and authorized the proper officials to set up a public
hearing thereon for the determination and establishment of zoning and fire
district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels of
real estate into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater in accordance
with the provisions of Section 6 {d} of the Municipal Charter of the City of
Clearwater and the Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1968, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, after proper public notice, held a public hearing for the
determination and establishment of zoning and fire district classifications
for said real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. After its evaluation of all evidence presented at a proper
public hearing, the City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida,
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and to
establish zoning and fire district classifications therefor:
The West One-Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 29 South,
Range 16 East, LESS the West 330 feet thereof, and
also LESS the South 666 feet thereof, and also LESS
the North IZ5 feet thereof, all in Pinellas County,
Florida.
It is the intention of the above description to describe
that portion of the said W-1/4 (less the South 660 feet
and North 125 feet) which was not annexed to the City of
Clearwater under Ordinance No. 1017, passed on July
6, 1964, of the City of Clearwater, Florida.
AND
Start at the NW corner of the SW- 114 of the NW-1/4
of Section 17, Township 29 South, Range 16 East and
go N 8905511511 E, 340, 28 feet along the 40 acre line;
thence go S 0005214711 W, 125. 00 feet to the P. O. B. ;
thence go N 8905511511 E, 175. 00 feet; thence go
S 0005214711 W, 554, 29 feet; thence go S 8904710411 W,
175. 00 feet; thence go N 0005214711 E, 554, 71 feet to
the P. O. B.
The above described property is hereby zoned PKB (Parkway
Business) and designated as Fire District No. 1.
Section 2. The City Engineer and the City Clerk are directed to
include and set out and show upon the official zoning map and other official
maps of the City of Clearwater the foregoing property and the zoning and
fire district classification therefor.

district classifications and to prepare an ordinance to annex said parcels of

public hearing, 'they City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City., Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 6 (d) of
the Municipal Charter of said City of Clearwater and the Laws of Florida, ;1.
hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida.
and redefines the boundary linos of said City so as to include the following
described parcels of real property in Pinellas County, Florida, and to
establish zoning and fire district classifications therefor:'
The West Ono-Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 29 South,
Range 16 East, LESS the West 330 feat thereof, and
also LESS the South 660 feet thereof, and also LESS
the North 125 feet thereof, all in Pinellas County,
Florida.
ItU the intention of the above description to describe
that portion of the said W-1/4 (less the South 660 feet
and North lz5 feet) which was not annexed to the City of
Clearwater under Ordinance: No. 1017, passed on July
6, 1964, of the City of Clearwater, Florida.
