BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 7-35, Board of Electricial Examiners-- ,.
Powers, of Chapter 7, Article III, Electricity, of the Code of Ordinances,
City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 7-35. Board of Electricial Examiners--Powers.
(a) The board of electrical examiners is empowered to establish
classifications of master, journeyman and maintenance electricians,
to promulgate its own rules for examination and grading of applicants,
to conduct hearings and to suspend and revoke certificates.
(b} The Board of Electrical Examiners is authorized in lieu of
written examination in its discretion to accept the certificate from
the examining board of any other city in Pinellas County, Florida,
having similar requirements, that the applicant has taken and passed
satisfactorily an examination before such board for master electrician
or journeyman electrician or maintenance electrician for which he is
making application to the City of Clearwater.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of this ordinance be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
