AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1127, AS AMENDED, WHICH
ORDINANCE DECLARED THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF
f CLEARWATER TO ANNEX CERTAIN DESCRIBED UNIN-
CORPORATED PROPERTY INTO THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 171. 04, FLORIDA STATUTES, BY

APPEARS OR IS USED THEREIN, SAID ORDINANCE IS
AMENDED BY SUBSTITUTING IN PLACE THEREOF THE
TERM "SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF PINELLAS COUNTY,
FLORIDA', AND ALSO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1127
BY, PROVIDING THAT WHEREVER THE TERMS "FLORIDA
STATUTES OF 1965" OR "FLORIDA STATUTES, 19651" APPEAR
OR ARE USED THEREIN, SAID ORDINANCE IS AMENDED BY
SUBSTITUTING IN PLACE THEREOF THE TERM "FLORIDA
STATUTES'"; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1128, AS AMENDED,
WHICH ORDINANCE PROVIDED FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION
ON NOVEMBER 21, 19670 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING
WHETHER OR NOT CHAPTER 67-Ix16, SPECIAL ACTS OF
FLORIDA OF 1967, RELATING TO THE EXTENSION OF THE
TERMS OF OFFICE FOR THE MAYOR-COMMISSIONER AND
THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FROM
TWO TO FOUR YEARS, SHALL BE RATIFIED AND ALSO FOR
THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER CERTAIN
DESCRIBED UNINCORPORATED PROPERTY SHALL BE
ANNEXED INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 171.04,
FLORIDA STATUTES, BY PROVIDING THAT WHEREVER THE
TERMS "SUPERVISOR OF REGISTRATION OF PINELLAS COUNTY,
FLORIDA" OR "COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF REGISTRATION" APPEAR
OR ARE USED THEREIN, SAID ORDINANCE IS AMENDED BY
SUBSTITUTING IN PLACE THEREOF THE TERM "SUPERVISOR
OF ELECTIONS OF PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA"; AND ALSO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1128 BY PROVIDING THAT WHEREVER
THE TERM "FLORIDA STATUTES,, 19651" APPEARS OR IS
USED THEREIN, SAID ORDINANCE IS AMENDED BY SUBSTITUTING
IN PLACE THEREOF THE TERM "FLORIDA STATUTES"; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, on October 18, 1967, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater, Florida, passed on third and final reading Ordinance No.
1127, as amended, declaring the intention of the City of Clearwater to
annex certain described unincorporated property into the City of Clearwater,
and Ordinance No. 1128, as amended, providing for a special election on
November 21, 1967, for the purpose of determining whether or not Chapter

671216, Special Acts of Florida of 1967, relating to the extension of
the terms of office for the Mayor-Commissioner and the Commissioners

of the City of Clearwater from two to four years, shall be ratified and
also for the purpose of determining whether certain described unincorporated
property shall be annexed into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, pursuant to Chapter 171. 04, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, in said Ordinance No. 1127 the term 'Supervisor of
Registration of Pinellas County, Florida I' was used; and
WHEREAS, in said Ordinance No. 1128 the terms "Supervisor of
Registration of Pinellas County, Florida" and "County Supervisor of
Registration" were used; and
WHEREAS, the correct designation of said office should have been.
"Supervisor of Elections of Pinellas County, Florida"; and
WHEREAS, in said Ordinance No. 1127 and Ordinance No. 1128
reference was made to Florida Statutes, 1965;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER., FLORIDA:
Section 1. That wherever in Ordinance No. 1127 the term "Supervisor
of Registration of Pinellas County, Florida" appears or is used, said
Ordinance is hereby amended by substituting in place thereof the term
"Supervisor of Elections of Pinellas County, Florida".
Section Z. That wherever in Ordinance No. 1128 the terms "Supervisor
of Registration of Pinellas County, Florida's or "County Supervisor of
Registration" appear or are used, said Ordinance is hereby amended by
substituting in place thereof the term "Supervisor of Elections of Pinellas
County, Florida. TO .
