AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 6, PERTAINING TO BOATS, DOCKS
AND WATERWAYS, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 6-14, BOATS,
VESSELS, BARGES--WHERE PROHIBITED; AMENDING SECTION
13-132, PEDDLING FROM VEHICLES--WHERE PROHHITED,
OF ARTICLE Vii, PEDDLERS, SOLICITORS AND CANVAS-
SERS OF CHAPTER 13, PERTAINING TO LICENSES AND
REGULATIONS; AND AMENDING CHAPTER 15, PERTAINING
TO PARKS AND RECREATION BY ADDING A NEW SECTION
15-190, BOATS, VESSELS, BARGES--WHERE PROHIBITED,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, 1962, TO SPECIFICALLY SET OUT THE AREAS
IN WHICH PEDDLING FROM AND OPERATION OF BOATS,
VESSELS AND BARGES ARE PROHIBITED; PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CON-
FLICT; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO
COMPLY THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR THE SEPARABILITY
OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 6, Pertaining to Boats, Docks and Waterways,
of the Code of Ordinances, City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new Section 6-14 to read as follows:
Sec. 6-14. Boats, Vessels, Barges--Where Prohibited.
No person shall operate any type of boat, vessel or barge,
whether mechanized or not, within a distance of five hundred
(500) feet from -the shoreline of any public beach owned by
the City of Clearwater, along the Gulf of Mexico side of
Clearwater Beach, Florida, except when within the designated
channel marked through Clearwater Pass, and except in the
case of an emergency.

Prohibited, of Article Vii, Peddlers, Solicitors and Canvassers, of
Chapter 13, pertaining to Licenses and Regulations, of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended to
read as follows;
Sec. 13-132. Peddling from vehicles and all types of boats,
vessels, barges--Where Prohibited.
Selling or peddling of goods, wares or merchandise from
vehicles of every nature including but not limited to trucks,
vans, motor scooters, wagons and pushcarts, whether the
same be self-propelled or driven by motor, drawn by
animals, or propelled by human propulsion, and from all
types of boats, vessels and barges, whether mechanized

(2) Memorial Causeway and Causeway Boulevard from the

(5) Fort Harrison Avenue from Cedar Street on the North }
to Druid Road on the South.
(6) That area embraced within the boundaries of the North
side of Drew Street on the North, the East side of
Myrtle Avenue on the East, the South side of Court Street
and the South side of Haven Street West of Fort Harrison
Avenue on the South, and the West side of Osceola Avenue
on the West.
(7) That area embraced within the following boundaries:
The North side of Bay Esplanade (adjacent to the City Park
and Clearwater Yacht Club) on the North, the East side
of Mandalay Avenue extended southerly across Causeway
Boulevard and continuing southerly along the East side
of Coronado Drive and Hamden Drive to the juncture of
Hamden Drive and Gulfview Boulevard on the East, a line
running due West from the Southeast corner of the juncture
of Hamden Drive and Gulfview Boulevard on the South and
the waters of the Gulf of Mexico on the West.
Section 3. Chapter 15, pertaining to Parks and Recreation, of
the Code of Ordinances, City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new Section 15-19 to read as follows:
Sec. 15-19. Boats, Vessels, Barges--Where Prohibited.
