AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER TO ANNEX A PORTION OF BLOCK H OF
REPLAT OF BLOCK H, MONTEREY HEIGHTS FIRST AUDITION;
AND A PORTION OF' SECTION 26, TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH, RANGE
i la EAST, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TOGETHER WITH
ALL ABUTTING STREETS INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, UPON THE EX-
PIRATION OF THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE PASSING OF
THIS ORDINANCE, ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 171.04, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1963, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through, its
City Commission, hereby declares its intention to annex into the corporate
limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, the following described parcel
lying contiguous to the territorial limits of said City and containing less
than ten (10) registered electors:
a
Lots Six (6) and Seven (7) and Lot 't'hree (3) less the West
125 feet thereof, in Block H of the Plat entitled Replat of
Block 1-1, Monterey Heights First Addition as recorded in
Plat Book 43, page Z8 of the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida, and the right of way of Hillcrest Avenue,
as shown on the Plat entitled Monterey Heights First Addition
as recorded in Plat Book 33, pages 43 and 44, Public Records
of Pinellas County, Florida, together with all abutting streets.
AND
The South 1/4 of the NW-1/4 of the NW-1/4 of Section 26,
Township 29 South, Range 15 East, Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all abutting streets.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, intends to annex the foregoing land according to the provisions
of Section 171. 04 of the Florida Statutes, 1963, and to that end the City Clerk
is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in the Clearwater Sun, a newspaper
published in the City of Clearwater, once a week for four consecutive weeks
immediately after the passage of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
