BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 24, pertaining to Utility System, of Code of
Ordinances, City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, is hereby amended by
adding a new Section 24-13 to read as follows:
Sec. 24-13. When accounts due; method of billin ; delinquent
account procedure. All gas rents and accounts for gas service
furnished by the City are due and payable monthly following
the month in which the gas is used. The bill for same will be
mailed to consumers monthly, either as a separate bill or in
c onjunction with other City utility bills, provided, however,
failure to receive a bill will not constitute a claim for non-
payment of same. All gas accounts will become delinquent
fifteen (15) days after the rendering date shown on the bill.
Gas service will be discontinued promptly, after an account
has become delinquent, and will not be reconnected until said
delinquent account is paid in full and the following turn-on
fees have been collected:
For the 1st reconnection $2.00
For each additional reconnection after the first 5. 00
and if water service is reconnected during the same trip,
no fee for such additional water reconnects will be required.
Gas will be turned on as soon as practicable, within reasonable
hours as established by the Utilities Manager, after said delinquent
bill and turn-on fee have been paid. The reconnect record shall
apply to a specific person, firm or corporation.
Section 2. Section 24-29 of Code of Ordinances, City of Clearwater,
Florida, 1962, relating to the billing and delinquent accounts for water
service furnished by the City, is amended to read as follows:
