ORDINANCE NO. 987
} AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER TO ANNEX THE PARCELS
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, BOTH OF WHICH PARCELS
ARE A PORTION OF SECTION 180 TOWNSHIP 29 SOUTH,
RANGE 16 EAST, PINELL•AS COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-
GETHER WITH ALL. ABUTTING STREETS, INTO THE ,
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, UPON THE EXPIRATION OF THIRTY (30)
DAYS FROM THE PASSING OF THIS ORDINANCE,
ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.04,
FLORIDA STATUTES, 1961, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through
its City Commission, hereby declares its intention to annex into the corporate
limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, the following described parcels
lying contiguous to the territorial limits of said City, each parcel containing
less than ten (10) registered electors:
North 220 feet of South 550 feet of W-1/4 of SW-1/4 of
NvJ-114 of Section 18, Township 29 South, Range 16
East, Pinellas County, Florida, together with all abutting
streets.
AND
f, The SW-1/4 of the NVI-1/4 of the SW-1/4 of Section
18, Township 29 South, Range 16 East, less the South
200 feet of thq West 400 feet thereof, and less the portion 01.
thereof presently in the City of Clearwater, same being
the West 330 feet, together with all abutting streets.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, intends to annex the foregoing lands according to the provisions
of Section 171, 04, Florida Statutes 1961, and to that end the City Clerk is
hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in the Clearwater Sun, a newspaper
published in the City of Clearwater, once a week for four consecutive weeks
immediately after the passage of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
