AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE NORTHERLY PORTION
OF SAND KEY, PINELLAS COUNTY, FL'ORILJA, TOGETHER
WITH CERTAIN SURROUNDING WATER AREAS, SAID

TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.04, FLORIDA
STATUTES, 1961; AND PROVIDING FOR THE tFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE,

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
enacted Ordinance No. 966 on April 15, 1963, which Ordinance declared
the intention of the City to annex the parcel hereinafter described, into the
corporate limits of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published once a week for four
consecutive weeks in the Clearwater Sun, a newspaper published in the City
of Clearwater, Florida, proof of which publication is hereto attached; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have expired since the enactment
of Ordinance No. 966 and no registered voter of the City of Clearwater, no
owner of real estate in the territory to be annexed, and no'nerson whomso-
ever has objected to such annexation or has applied to the Circuit Court of
the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, setting forth
any objections to said annexation; and
WHEREAS, all of the provisions of Section 171, 04, Florida Statutes,
have been complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA;
Section I. The City of Clearwater, acting by and through its City
Commission, by the authority and under the provisions of Section 171. 04,
Florida Statutes, hereby annexes into the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, and redefines the boundary lines of said City so as
to include the following:
Northerly portion of Sand Key situated in Pinellas
County, Florida, together with surrounding water
areas more particularly described as follows:
Bounded on the West by the territorial limits of the
State of Florida; bounded on the South by the North
corporate limit line and its Easterly and Westerly
extensions of the Town of Belleaire Beach, Pinellas
County, Florida; bounded on the East by the center line
of the Intercoastal Waterway; and bounded on the North
by the present city limits line of Clearwater, Florida;
the upland portions of said area lying in and being
parts of Sections 17, 18, 19, 20 and 30, Township
29 South, Range 15 East, Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all abutting streets.
The above described property is hereby zoned "B"
Business and designated as Fire District No. 1.

Section 2. The City Engineer and the City Clerk are directed to
includo' and set out and show upon the official zoning map and other official
maps of the City of Clearwater, the foregoing property.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become affective immediately
on its passage,
