AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER$
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 24-29 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
1962] BY PROVIDING A SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR RE-
CONNECTION OF WATER AFTER TURN-OFF BECAUSE
OF NONPAYMENT'OF BILL; REPEALING ALL CON-
FLICTING ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEAR.WATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 24-29 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Clear-
water, Florida, 1962, relating to method of billing and delinquent accounts
for water service furnished by the City, is amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 24-29. When accounts due; method of billing;
f delinquent accounts. All water rents and accounts are
due and payable znonthly following the month in which
the water is used. Bill for same will be mailed to
consumer monthly; provided, however, failure to
receive bill will not constitute a claim for nonpayment
of the same. All accounts will become delinquent fifteen
days following the rendering of the bill. Water service
will be discontinued after bill has become delinquent
and a turn-on fee will be collected when bill is paid, as
follows:
lot reconnection $1.00
2nd reconnection 5.00
3rd reconnection 7.50
4th reconnection 10.00
and water will be turned on as soon as possible.
Section 2. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict
herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby -repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage. 14
