AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL MUNICI-
PAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN CONNECTION WITH
THE REGULAR. ELECTION ON DECEMBER 18, 1962;
SAID SPECIAL ELECTION TO DETERMINE WHETHER
OR NOT THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 952
AMENDING THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCES AND LAWS
SHALL BE RATIFIED; PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER
OF CONDUCTING SAID ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR
NOTICE OF SAID ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR DE-

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARW.A.TER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That a special municipal election shall be held in the
manner herein provided, on Tuesday, December 18, 1962, for the purpose
of determining whether or not the provisions of Ordinance No. 952, an
ordinance amending Chapter 26, Code of Ordinances, City of Clearwater,
Florida, as amended, the City Zoning Ordinance, shall be approved in
whole or in part.
Section 2. At said special municipal election, Ordinance No. 952
shall be submitted to be voted upon and the zoning; items to be changed
and/or added shall be voted on individually.
Section 3. Only qualified electors of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, who are freeholders within said City shall be eligible to vote
in said special election.
Section 4. All persons shall be considered as qualified freeholders
in the City who shall be registered as such according to law, as evidenced
by the records of the Supervisor of Registration of Pinellas County, Florida.
Section 5. The City Commission shall cause to be published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks a notice stating the purpose.o£ the election, the polling
places, and the class of persons eligible to vote therein, the first publica-
tion to be at least ten (10) days before the date of election.

The election shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of

No. 952, together with a substantially accurate copy of the "Zoning r

said Ordinance, but not said Zoning Map, shall be published in full 4 "1

Clearwater, Florida, the first insertion to be at least ten (10) days prior to December 18, 1962}
Section 8. The result of the voting shall be certified and delivered
to the Mayor-Commissioner and the City Clerk in the same manner and by
the same officials as are the results in the general election being conducted
concurrently with said special election, and the City Commission shall
canvass the returns and declare the returns of said special election in the
same manner and at the same time and place as the results of the general
election are canvassed.
Section 9. All things done and accomplished in compliance with this
Ordinance and in furtherance of the purposes of this Ordinance, prior to the
