AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER*
ADOPTING 'THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, 196211; PROVIDING FOR
THE REPEAL OT' ORDINANCE NO. 651 AND ORDI-
NANCE NO. 720 OF THE CITY OF CLEARWA.TER,
INCLUDING THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ADOPTED JULY 19, 1954,
AS AMENDED; PROVIDING FURTHER FOR THE REGU-
LATION, ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF
THE LAWS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER RELATING
TO PLUMBING; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL PROVISIONS
OR PARTS OF PROVISIONS OTHERWISE CONTAINED
IN "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, 196x" IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRO-
VIDING PENALTIES FOR. THE VIOLATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR. SEPARABILITY; AND
PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE, TOGETHER WITH
SAID PLUMBING CODE, TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY
UPON ITS PASSAGE,
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
has caused its ordinances of a general and permanent nature relating to
plumbing to be compiled and revised and the same are embodied in a
compilation, addition and revision thereof, known as "The Plumbing Code
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962",
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section. 1. That Section 1 through Section 34 of the Plumbing Code
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, being Pages 1 through 40,
inclusive, are ordained as "The Plumbing Code of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, 196211, and shall be cited as such. That from and after the
adoption of this Ordinance, all installations of every type generally and
customarily done by plumbers and drain layers shall be installed only in
accordance with the standards and specifications as set forth in "The
Plumbing Code of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962".

@101 Section 2. That all provisions of "The Plumbing Code of the City
of Clearwater, Florida, 1962" shall be in force and effect on and after
April 16, 1962, and all ordinances of a general and permanent nature
relating to Plumbing which are not contained in "The Plumbing Code of the
City of Clearwater, Florida, 196211 in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
from and after April 16, 1962. Ordinance No. 651 and Ordinance No. 720
of the City of Clearwater are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That the repeal provided for in the preceding Section
of this Ordinance shall not affect any offense or act committed or done or
any penalty or forfeiture incurred or any contract or right established or
accruing before April 16, 1962; nor shall such repeal affect any

ordinance or resolution promising or guaranteeing the payment of money
for the City or authorizing the issue of bonds of said City or any evidence
of said Cityls indebtedness or any contract or obligation assumed by said
City; nor shall the repeal affect the administrative ordinances, license
ordinances or resolutions of the City of Clearwater not in conflict with the
provisions of this Code; nor shall it affect any right or franchise conferred
by any ordinance or resolution of the Commission on any person, firm or
corporation; nor shall it affect the Building Code, the Electrical Code nor
the Gas Code; nor shall it affect any prosecution, suit or other proceeding
pending or any judgment rendered on or prior to April 16, 1962.
Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate the
provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof in the Municipal
Court of the City of Clearwater, be punished by a fine not exceeding Two
Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period
not exceeding Ninety (90) days, or by both, such fine and imprisonment
in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.

Section 5. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause

or other part or provision of this Ordinance or "The Plumbing Code of the
City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962" be declared by any court to be invalid,
the same shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance or "The Plumbing
Code of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962" as a whole, or any part
thereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
Section 6. Three copies of f'The Plumbing Code of the City of
Clearwater, Florida, 196211, having been, kept on file not less than ten
(10) days prior to passage hereof in accordance with Florida Statutes
Chapter 165. 191, shall be retained in the office of the City Clerk and
be made available to persons desiring to examine the same.
(Section 7. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage.
