AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
f. FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 74Z, KNOWN
AS THE CITY OF CLEARWATER CHARITABLE
SOLICITATIONS ORDINANCE, BY AMENDING SECTIONS
4 AND 5 PERTAINING TO CHARITY SOLICITATIONS
BOARD CREATION AND BOARD ORGANIZATION,
RESPECTIVELY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN

CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR THE
r EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 4, Charity Solicitations Board Created, of
Ordinance No. 742, known as the City of Clearwater Charitable Solicitations
Ordinance, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 4. CHARITY SOLICITATIONS BOARD CREATED.
There is hereby created for the administration of this
Ordinance, a Charity Solicitations Board which shall
be composed of five (5) members who shall serve without
remuneration for such services and who shall be ap-
pointed by the City Manager and with the consent of
the City Commission. Each member of said Board
appointed by the City Manager shall hold office for a
term of one (1) year and three (3) of the appointees
hereunder are to be citizens of Clearwater from the
following organizations: Clearwater Ministerial Association,
Clearwater Chamber of Commerce and Clearwater
Junior Chamber of Commerce. The other members of
the Board shall consist of the Chief of Police and City
Attorney of said City or members of their staff appointed
by said City officials. Any vacancies occurring shall be
figed in the same manner as provided for in the original
appointment.
Section 2. Section 5, Board Organization, of Ordinance No. 742,
known as the City of Clearwater Charitable Solicitations Ordinance, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5. BOARD ORGANIZATION. That the Board shall
elect a chairman and secretary from its membership
and shall adopt rules and regulations for the conduct of
its business and the times and places of its meetings.
Three (3) members of said Board shall constitute a
quorum for the transaction of business, r'
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
