ORDINANCE NO. 90Z
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 773, AS
AMENDED, ENTITLED "REFUSE SERVICE ORDINANCE
i OF CLEARWATER", BY ESTABLISHING A REVISED
SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR GARBAGE AND/OR TRASH
COLLECTION; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANC ES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER:
Section 1. Section 7 (1) of Ordinance No. 773, as amended by
Ordinance No. 868, is further amended to read as follows:
"Section 7: Fees:
(1) Monthly charges for twice weekly collection of Garbage
and/or Trash in prescribed containers:
(a) For duplex dwellings and single family dwellings in-
cluding one additional apartment or living unit as part of or
detached from the single family building and under one owner-
ship . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $1.75 minimum
for each living unit. Use of 2 garbage and trash receptacles
permitted per unit.
For the purposes of this Ordinance a living unit is defined
as any room or group of rooms equipped with cooking facilities
and designed for or used by one or more persons as a separate
household establishment, including so-called mobile homes or
house trailers and motel rooms or suites so equipped and used.
(b) For multiple family dwellings consisting of three or
more living units, which units may be a part of or detached
from the main building; all garbage receptacles serving the
premises to be centrally located at one collection point.
First unit . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $1. 75 minimum
Next nine units . . . . . . . . . . . . 0. 80 per unit
All over ten units . . . . . . . . . . . 0. 60 per unit
Apartment houses and trailer courts or parks containing
three or more living units shall be classed as multiple family
dwellings; all garbage receptacles serving the premises to be
centrally located at one collection point.
(c) For motels, apartment motels, or apartments renting
by day or week:
First living unit . . . . . . . . . . . $1.75 minimum
Next nine living units . . . . . . . . 0. 60 per unit
All over ten living units . . . . . . . 0. 40 per unit
Rooms for living and sleeping purposes only without cooking
facilities . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0, 25 per room
All garbage receptacles serving the premises to be centrally
located at one collection point.

accordance with Subsection (c) above,

hotels, factories, filling stations, service establishments and
the like with separate water metering: ' f
