AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GLEARWATER; FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 7 (e) OF ORDINANCE NO. 61.5,
M.,.a._.._....... BEING THE ORDINANCE REGULATING GENERAL CONTRACT-
ORS BY PROVIDING SPECIFIC REQUIRMIENTS FOR EX-
AMINATIONS TO BE GIVEN APPLICANTS FOR GENERAL
CONTRACTORS' LICENSES; REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES TO THE EXTENT OF THEIR CONFLICT, AND
PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Sec. 1. Section 7 (e) of Ordinance 648, regulating gen-
eral contractors in the City of Clearwater, is amended to read as fol-
lows:

(e) Each #pli.cant shall be examined by oral
and written tests as to his fitness to be
granted a general contractor's certificate
of a particular clas" sification which appli-
cant has requested. The tests shall be graded
one-fourth oral and three-fourths written,
with-passing grade of seventy-five (75) per-
cent. The oral and written tests shall be
inade with reference to knowledge of construct-
ion work•and familiarity with the City Build-
ing Code.'?
Sec. 2. All ordinances or_.•parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are to the extent of such conflict repealed
Sec.']. This ordinance shall take effect immediate)
upon its passage.
