I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6279 AS AMENDED] THE CITY
' ZONING ORDINANCE, AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF 1953 OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATEEt, FLORIDA, BY INCREASING THE REQUIRED AREA
ON WHICH CONSTRUCTION CAN BE MADE IN AN H-2 AREA TO 3500 SQUARE
FEET: BY RECLASSIFYING AND ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY AS DESCRIBED.

THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM PRIOR TO THE

' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY =Z1ISSION OF THE CI'T'Y OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section VI (9) of Ordinance 627, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, which is an exception or restriction on the use of property
within the City limits as the location for an-automobile trailer camp E'
or park, is amended to read as follows:
(9) Automobile trailer camps or parks are prohibited, except ;.
where a special permit has been procured from the City Commission, fol-
lowing a consideration and recommendation, either favorable or unfavor-
able, by the City Zoning Board. In considering whether said special'
permit shall be issued, the City Commission shall take into considera-
tion whether the proposed design, location and sanitary facilities of
said camp or park are adequate to protect the health, safety and wel- !
5.' .,''.. fare of the proposed users thereof and of the citizens of the City of
Clearwater. Where the proposed camp or park is located partially with- `
in the limits of the City and partially outside the City limits, the

City shall also consider whether the portion of said camp or park with
in the limits of said City will comply with requirements and regula-:
- '' tions of the County of Pinellas as applicable to that portionof said
camp or park which lies outside the City limits.
• '.' Section 2. Sectional (5) of Ordinance 627 as amended, the City
Zoning Ordinance, is amended to read as follows:
(5) No lot or plot having an area of less than thirty-five hun-
dred (3500) square feet shall hereafter be used for building in an. R-2
s area, neither shall ahj_ building other than accessory building be
erected thereon having a ground floor enclosed area of less than seven
hundred and fifty (750) square feet exclusive of porches and breezeways.

of persons who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the terms or pro-
visions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court, be j'r^y•;;SF Yr ',,:
fined not exceeding the sum of No Hundred (h200.00) Dollars, or imprisoned
in the City Jail for not exceeding sixty (60) days, or: by both such fine and

imprisonment in the discretion of the Municipal Judge. Each day that a viola-

tion is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.

Section 8. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
4 passage and its approval by a majority of the qualified voters of the City oi? ?.
Clearwater who are free holders within said City voting at a special municipa'
election to be held in conjunction with the regular municipal election on
