ORDINANCE NO. 724
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18, CHAPTER 17 OF TILL
CODE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, OF 1950,
RELATING TO JUNK YARDS, REQUIRING THAT ALL SUCH
PREMISES BE FENCED, COVERED Oil SURROUNDED, AS PRO-
VIDED IN THIS ORDINANCE, ALLWING A PERIOD OF SIX
(6) MONTHS FOA COMPLIANCE,* REPEALING ALL.ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERWITH- PRO-
VIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION AND PROVIDING FOR ITS
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEAWIAPER, FLORIDA
1. That Section 18, Chapter 17 of the Code of the City of. Clear-
water, Florida, 1950 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The entire premises used for carrying; on the busi-
ness of junk dealing shall be so covered, fenced
and surrounded as to make the same waterproof and
' mosquito proof and to prevent an unsightly appear-
ance, and such buildings or structures and fences
shall be maintained in good condition at all times,
such fence to be a tight and solid fence and not
less than seven (7) feet in height.11
"It shall be the duty of the City Tax Collector,
beforeissuing licenses provided for herein, to see
that the premises designated in the application com-
ply with the provisions hereof."
2. That the owners of premises to which this ordinance is ap-
plicable which do not at this time comply herewith,,shall have a
period of six (6) months from final adoption of this ordinance with-
in which to comply with the provisions hereof,
3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
4. Violation of this ordinance shall be punished as provided
in Section A, Chapter 1 of the Code of the City of Cleart,rater, 1950.
?j. This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage.
