BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEAMIATER, FLORIDA : Section 1. Ordinance No. 624 of the City of Clearwater, Florida, be and it is hereby amended by adding to Section 12 thereof the following which shall be designated as Section 12 (B). 1112. ($) Any dog, cat, or other animal, whether vaccinated or not, and which appears to be suffering; from mange, dis- temper, or any other infectious disease shall be immediately reported to the City Pound Master by the owner, veterinarian, or other persons having control of the animal, or knowledge of the aforesaid condition of said animal, and such dog, cat, or other animal shall'be placed under observation for a reasonable period by the Pound Master, and any such animal having mange, distemper, or any other t fectious diseases shall be disposed of in the manner at the dis- cretion of the Pound Master; provided, however, that where such animal, does not constitute a hazard to the public health and welfare, said animal may be maintained by the owner or other persons having control of same on the owner's premises or other place approved by the Pound Master, if same can be done in such a manner as to preclude any possible contact or contamination of other animals or persons." Section 2. Ordinance No. 624 of the City of Clearwater, Florida, be and it is hereby further amended by striking therefrom Section 16 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following which shall hereafter be known as Section 18: "Section 18. (A) No person shall shoot or shoot at any birds, cats, dogs or other animal or fowl in the City of Clearwater, Florida, with either a firearm or other weapon utilizing the principle of compressed air, or any type of weapon commonly referred to as an 'air rifle'. "(B) No person shall keep or allow to remain on his pre- mises any dog or dogs which continually and chronically bark or howl in such a•manner as to disturb the peace and repose of others in the neighborhood. S`?,A ?"' `e ??"" ??-`vl?(` 'G•;' '(i. a ?#iy ?:;i.- ..§3x1: S: • y1 ??-'-••r??"? fS ?;Yr'f, ?. - ,i i?or ».c- fir`}=.. --0:' i:Y•A ?• '. ,`1; of i' ?;E..' 5• •4 •3: ?kr r i ! i ?f' 1 ? - 14 ?, ..1 r i I'M No person who owns, harbors, keeps or maintains any horse, cow, or other domestic animal other than cats and properly licensed dogs shall permit same to wander on the public streets, nor shall such animals be secured except temporarily on the public streets or parkways of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and any such horse, cow and other animal other than cats and properly licensed dogs found to be wandering at large, or tied or secured on the public streets or parkways of the City of Clearwater, except temporarily, shall be impounded, and may be redeemed in accordance with the provisions of Section 11 hereof, and upon the failure of the owner to redeem such animal, said animal shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of Section 11, hereof. I'M No person while in control of any dog whether by' leash or by mere physical presence with said dog shall allow said dog to trespass upon the property of another." Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in con- flict herewith or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
