AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING UNITS I and 2 OF PALM TERRACE
SUBDIVISION INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF i
CLLAMIATER, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR APMVAL OF THIS
ORDINANCE AT AN ELECTION CAUL;D FOR THAT PURPOSE;
PROVIDMG THE MANNER IN 4H'iICH SAID ELECTION 84ALL BE ?
CONDUCTED; PROVIDING THE SEPARABILITY OF THE PROVI-
SIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAIMM) BY THE CITY C0101ISSION OF THE CITY OF CLE RWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. ' THAT WHERREAL9, the following described property hereinafter
referral to as "[flits 1 and 2 of Palm Terrado Subdivision" are contiguous to the
City of Clearwater, Florida, and are presently receiving and will, continue to
receive the benefits of the newer system, water system, police protection, fire
protection and other municipal benefits provided by the City of Clearwater, and
said
I%TEREAS, the annwation of thyUni.ts 1 and 2 of Palm Terrace Subdivision
in authorized by Section 171.052 Florida Statutes, 1951,
Unit 1 of PAM TMUCE SUBDIVISION according to the
plat thereof as recorded in, Plat Dook 27, Page 142,
of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
more particularly described as folloim: Begin at
the SW corner of the Wk of Section 11, Township 295,
Flange 15E and run thence North. 00 14t 5111 East along
the Section line 6201; thence South 890 22t 09" Last
1.,118.10t; thence South 730 451 571' East 62.121;
thence South 890 221 03" East 155.01 to the forty
acre line; thence South 00 131 0911 West along the
forty acre line 603.461 to the East and West center
line of Section 11; thence North 990 211 3011 West
along the East and West center line of Section 11
1033.411 to the Point of Beginning.
Unit 2 of PALM TERRACE SUBDIVISION according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 270 Page 63,
of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
more particularly described as ,follows: Begin at the
SW corner of the t1'AL of Section 11, Township 29S, Range
15E and rant thence North 00 141 15" East along the
Section line 620.01 for a POB;.thence South 890
221 0911 East 1,115.1013 thence South 730 45t 573= East
62.421; thence South 890 221 0311 East 155.011 to the
forty.acre line; thence North 00 131 0911 East along
the forty acre lino 562.311; thence.North 890 221 0911
West 4332.83' to the Section line; thence South
Oo 1111 51" .'Test along the Section line 545.771 to the
Point.of Beginning.
Section 2. The corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, are
hereby extended so as to include the above described property which is adjacent
to the City of Clearwater; subject, however, to the approval of this Ordinance
by the affixmstive vote of two-thirds of the vote cast at an election to be
held on that subject by the qualified voters residing in the above described
territory, including alike the voters within the existing corporate limits
of the City of Clearwater.
Section 3. The Election sat out in Section 2 hereof shall be held on
December 16, 1952, and the proper officials of the City of Clearwater are hereby
authorized and directed to do all things necessary to conduct said election.

Section 4, The City Clerk of the City of Clearwater shall. establish
and maintain a- Registration list to be wood at said election, said Registration
Lists to be of all peroono residing at the tine of the pansagel of this Oydinanca
within the entire territory described abovo, and said Registration Lists shale, {
Include all persons who would, if .residing within the originnl norimratti limits }
at the time of the parings of this Ordinance, he eligible to qu&Ufv to vote '
for Municipal Officers at any City election.
Section 5, At the said el.oction, at least one pulling place shall be
located within the above described territory, and at least one of the Inspectors
at every polling place uliall be duly registered under the provisions of this
Ordinance and an inhabitemt of the above described territory,
Section 6, Each word
s Phrase, sentence or Section of this Ordinance
shall be severable, and the invalidity of any wor,'•, phrase, sentence or Section
shall in no way or degree impair any other part or parts. hereof,
Section 7. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and upon
its publication by title as is provided by law, whichever in the latter.
