OF DOGS CATS AND OTILM DOMESTIC ANIMALS
IN THE 41TY OF C UMMATER, FLORIDA. .. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OOIrRdISSION OF TILE CITY OF CLEARSYATER,
FLORIDA:
Sao. 1. That Sections 347, 350 and 351 of the Code adopted May 31,
1916, by the City of Clearwater: relating to the muzzling of dogs, be,
and the same are hereby repealed.
Sao. 2. That no dog, cat or other domestic animal, shall be permitted
in any business district, public place or bathing beach,:in the City of
Clearwater, except under leash and in the care bf its owner or an attendant.
Sea 3. That any dog, oat or other domestic animal whiah shall bite
any person in the City, of Clearwater, shall be impounded by the Police and
kept under observation at a place desiganted by the City Health Department
for a period of tan (10)' days, at the and of viiich time if found to be
non-rabid, Bach animal may be radeened by its owner, upon payment of a
pound tee of One ($1.00) Dollar and a further fee for the board of such'
animal at a rate not in excess of One (41.00) Dollar per day t6r the
period of imponading. If, after n6tioe to the cnrnerI such animal is not
redeemed, it shall be held for a further period of forty-eight (46) bourn
ahd then disposed of by the Police,' If _found to be rabid, the animal
shall be killed and reported to the Health Department of Pinellas County.
Sao 4. That any dog cat or other domestic animal which shall bite
another animal and which Is suspected of having rabies, shall be impounded,
observed and released or disposed of in the some manner as provided in Sedti.on
3 hereof.
Sao 5. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith,
be, and thi sane are hereby repealed.
Sao 6. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by
the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida.
