All applicants for license under any of sold classifications shall apply to
the Board of rxaminers, by exeeutirv and filinr at the dffice of the City
nuildin- Inspector, an application blank and by dapositinr with the euiliLnr
inspector: an examination fee of Five 05.00) Dollars. The application
blank shall contain information under Oath as to the name, qualifications,
financial and business references, place of business and residence of
applicant, toretherr with a summary of the action taken thereon by the !?card,
Any person applyinr to take an examination for a firm,
co-partnership, corporation, or otherwise than as en individual in his own
rirht and name, shall be an active member or a lerally authorized arent
of s,ich orranization and shall submit evidence of such association and
authority; provided, however, that if such applicant, on behalf of another,
.hall pass the oxamination and at any time thereafter savor connections
with the firm in :chose name the licerse was issued, it shall be the duty of
both such applicant and the licensee to rive immealate writter, notice
thereof to the Poard of Examiners and surrender said'license for cancellation.
The'Cantr:.otor to whom such license was issuad may at the time of surrandering
sala license, delePate some other nember'or other authorized agent to
qualify for examination for such Contractor without the payment of any
additional examination fee or occupational license tax for the remainder of
the license year.
(b) The ?card shall carefully investirate the information
°iven on the application blank and if satisfied with the applicant's reneral
qualifications and financial and business references, such applicant shall
be riven an examination for the classification specified, based on reneral
knowledge of construction work and familiarity with the Jity suildinr Coda.
If the Foard shall find that the applicant has not submitted satisfactory
evidence of his qualifications and references as aforesaid, the applicant
shall be notified thereof in xritinr and shall be riven opportunity to
submit satisfactory ovidonco thereof. In the event that the Board shall
find thnt the applicant is -unable to submit satisfactory evidence of his
reneral qualifications and references as aforesaid, the applicant shall be
so advised in xritinr and ice Shall have the rirht to appeal from the action
of the Hoard as provided in Section 11.
The City Cummlesion shall have authority to establish
reasonable standards fnr, and shall have reneral control over the type
of, examinatlons to be riven all applicants.
(c) In the event applicant passes said examination

(d) Any spplizant failing to pass the examination
aatiafaetorily, may be re-examined without additional examination fee,
within One year.
(e) All licensns issued under the provisions of this
Ordtaance shall expire on the 3Cth day of September each year. Any
licensee may renew his license certificate within thirty (30) days from
its expiration without re-examination and shall secure his current
occupational license by payina the prescribed tax.
(f) Licenses may be transferred, subject to the examination
provisions set out above, 'vhan there is a bonafide sale and trarsfer'cf the
property used and ea;plo7ed in the business as stock in trade, provided
such transfer shall be -.tads within ten (10) days after said sale takes place.
(r) Any chance of name under which a license has bean
issued shall be approved by the 9oard.af Examiners.
(h) A cop,' Of an7 license certi:i.-ate lost, destroyed or
mutilated shall be issued b.y the 9oard.
