Thereupon the Mayor-Commissionor declared the Ordinance duly
adapted and signed the samo, as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 436.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO
PAY ITITHIN A CERTAIN TIME, OCCUPATIONAL BUSINESS
AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES REQUIRED BY Th CITY OF
CLEARWATER, AND PROVIDI110 A PENALTY FOR THE VIO-
LATION OF THE TERL,3 OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Any person or persons, firm or corporation or association
engaged 71h, maintaining, managing or conducting any business, profes-
sion or occupation within the City of Clearwater for which a City
lioenso is required and who shall not have paid said City license fee
an or before the 15th day of February in any succeeding year fallowing
the passage and adoption of this Ordinance, shall be penalized and pay
to the C1t7 Auditor and Clerk in addition to the amount required for
said license, fifteen per oentum (15%) of the face amount of said license.
Section 2. Any person or persons, firm or corporation, or association ,
v- s n violate any of the terms or provisions of this Ordinance, shall,
upon conviction in the Municipal Court, be fined not exceeding the sum
of One Hundred (0100.00) Dollars, or imprisoned in the City Jail not
exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in
the discretion of the _'!unicipal Judge.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall not repeal an7 other Ordinance of
eiVy of Clearwater relating to the subject matter hereof, but
shall be deemed to be cumulative additional and supplemental to
the rights and remedies now ezising on behalf of the City of Clear-
water for the enforcement of occupational, busitsass and professional
licenses.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1938.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Clear-
water, Florida., this 19th day of September, 1938.

It was moved by Mr. Batchelor, seconded by Mr. Baker and carried
that whereas two of the elation inspectors appointed to serve in the
Special Election to be held September 27th are'unable to serve, that
V!. Q. Dougherty and Mrs. Ethel J. Ely be appointed an election in-
spectors for said election.
